Why is it Green?
Biossance is one of the most dedicated sustainability skincare companies out there. Their key ingredient of their brand is squalene. In 2003, Biossance's scientist began at Berkeley labs, developed patented tech that allowed them to create an accessible cure for malaria. This same technology allowed them to create a renewable sugarcane-derived version called squalene that saves millions of members of the ocean ecosystem every year. Since the 16th century, sharks were hunted for their squalene for skincare products. Their suitability innovation is literally at the heart of their brand.
